           All classes are private one on one, ceramic class can be in small groups. Call us to schedule. Class times are shown below
           Ceramic/Sculpture classes are 2 hours for students 17 and older, 1.5 hours for students ages 10-16.
           Paint/Drawing classes are an hour and a half for adults and adolescents.

Scheduled classes must be cancelled or rescheduled 72 hours (3 days) in advance to receive a full refund. Earlier you inform us the sooner we can inform other students of the opening.  We appreciate it.

“Canvas” How to build a Canvas and alternative painting surfaces.

Pottery: 

2 classes are required, one class to make your piece and one class to glaze the piece. These classes are usually 3 weeks apart. We have to let the wet work (clay from the 1st class) fully dry before doing a bisque fire (1800 degrees). Once bisque fired, we then do a glaze (color the work) class, it usually takes 2 weeks to do a glaze fire (2200 degrees)

Ceramic work is done with clay called half & half. The class projects are up to the student. When you come in, we ask what you would like to make, show you examples, and then instruct. Common 1st time ceramic artist projects are coffee mugs, bowls, shot glasses, flower vases. We do offer a glaze only class, this is where we make the piece for you, once piece requested is made you can take a glaze class. 

Drawing:

“Coloring Mixed Media” Layered coloring, using crayon, watercolor sticks, chalk, pastels and colored pencils.

“Sketching In and Out” Thumbnail, gesture, contour and formative blocks.

“Abstract Art” Developing an idea, use of line, shape and color.

Students must bring their own supplies for Studio Painting classes, easels are provided. Suggested supplies list will be furnished for each class
